Sometimes, you discover a domain name you want, but, you do not yet have a website for it or need for domain based email right away..........in that case, you can choose to PARK your domain name. This means that while your DNS for the internic is pointing at ourweb.net, there is no site for anyone to see. The domain name is pointed at a generic parking page. The cost for this is minimal. Just $60.00 per year. So it's a good choice for you until you have a web site or need to start using email addresses with your domain name. At that time, we set up your domain fully, and you would begin paying hosting charges - with any balance on your account for the time, added to your new hosting charges, of course!

Pointing Your Domain Name

Sometimes you discover a domain name you want, but you already have a domain name with a site. Perhaps the .net has just become available or the anacronym for your company's name. Whatever the case, you don't have to host both as websites! You can simply choose to have the new domain name point to the domain name that is already set up with a website. To the surfer, the transition is seamless.

There are two options for pointing your domain name:

Pointing with a page - $10/mo:
This means that the surfer actually goes to a page set up at the new domain name, but when they click through to any of the links they go to the old website. Some particularly prefer this for registering with search engines.
Pointing directly to the old site name: - $5/mo:
This means that when the surfer types in the new domain name, they are immediately brought to the same page as if they had typed in the old domain name url.
